It's a Taurus, their QC is iffy, some good some bad. I'd buy something else.

Ruger makes plastic revolvers.

I have a 85, 651, and just bought a 617 a few weeks ago. I'm more than pleased with the ones I own.

Also, the OP didn't specify if he was looking into the 605 Polymer....or the steel version. I'm guessing they're asking about the latter.

I have or have had 5 Taurus handguns: a PT 140 Millennium Pro, an 82, a 605, an 85CH and the Rossi (owned by Taurus) 461. All have been terrific guns. If you want a .357mag snub, the Taurus 605 would be a good choice.

I just picked up a 605 stainless a month ago, no complaints so far.

My Taurus M85 experiment did not go well. Taurus, from a customer service and quality stand point leave a lot to be desired. I'd look at Ruger.

I once owned a Taurus, but I never will own a taurus again.

Good luck.

I've had one for over a decade. It's been a good, solid gun for me. I keep it loaded with the old FBI load.

Mine is all-steel and is reasonably comfortable to shoot. I shot a friend's LCR a few weeks ago and it was not fun.

We sell about three Taurus mod 605 Poly Protectors per week without a single complaint yet.

Mine's been good. You might want to read Jim March's experience with a dud 605.

I'm uninterested in the plastic 605.

That one had massive birth defects. If it had been human it would have been aborted early in the 2nd trimester as a mercy thing.
