BOG Deathgrip

Saw a pile of them at my LGS and allowed myself to be suckered into buying one. In a word, I don't get it, it's inherently unstable, does not cant, no separate raise/lower crank for the head and leveling requires adjusting the legs. I keep reading these are the bee's knees--what am I missing?

Cheap stability that won't break. Want better, pay more.

We have one, and it works for what it is. To cut the weight in half and get the additional features...triple the price tag.
