Does anyone Use Mojo Sights?

I am wanting to improve the sights on my 24 47 without irreversably modifying the rifle. I have been looking at the MOJO peep sights on the internet.
Does anyone use these sights? Are they any better than the original sights?

I just bought a Yugo M48A (really a B) and it came with a Mojo sight. It is not installed yet but it appears to be well made, steel construction, excellent finish. I was concerned about the peep hole being so far forward but I think it well work fine. You can get different diameter inserts for the peep hole. I think anything would be better than the original sight.

My mojo on my Mosin 91/30 is a POS.

It installed cleanly enough... but it does not have enough tension to retain sight settings. The dial backs itself back down to the red zero mark during recoil of every shot. I'm very disappointed in it.

I have not contacted the manufacturer in regards to this problem so I don't condemn the product support at all... I just think they didn't test out their Mosin sight very well if recoil can do what it does to this particular one.

Perhaps I will email them now and see what they say.

Thank you Sir, thats the kind of imformation I needed.
I want to make my Rifle more usefull, with better sights, but do not want to invest in a product, that is not reliable.

The spring tension of the original sight spring holds the Mojo body down against the sight block. You may need to bend this spring or replace it. The Mojo adjustment has a spring and ball detent, you could use a stronger spring on the ball detent.

There is a set screw on the underside of the sight to set up some tension on the elevation adjustment. Mine did the same thing at first.

Rob:

I got a call from the folks at Mojo and they suggested I tighten that screw on the back.

Makes sense, and is my own dang fault for not flipping the thing over and checking for a screw for detent tension in the first place.

He also gave me a technique to use to bottom the sight out a bit more in the base, so I'll be taking it to the range this weekend and re-confirming my zero on it just to make sure.
