Filling clips
I'm new to automatics, recently purchased a Stoeger Cougar 8000 9mm. Filling the two 15 round mags is a pain. They are pretty stiff by the time I get to 14 rounds.
Do any of you use the speed loader contraptions or what works well. Or do I just need to "man up"? |

For years and years I suffered in silence. Then I found the butler creek LULA loaders, best $30 I EVER spent in the shooting sports, they make them for single stack or double stack pistol mags, AR, AK mini 14/30. I can't recomend them highly enough.

My wife and I each have our own upLula loaders. In IPSC, having to quickly load 6 mags each is a slightly daunting task without them.

At the range I just stop at 5 or 10 at the most. It's not very often I try to stuff any magazine completely full.

I don't need more magazines. By loading 5 or so at a time I can look over the target and assess what I may be doing wrong. Then I'll pick up my brass and load another 5 or so.
My ammo lasts longer that way and I'm really not there to see how much brass I can scatter.

You will be so happy once you buy the UPLULA.

Loading magazines without the use of mechanical aid is but folly. Even as early as the 1908 Luger came with a magizine loading device.

I have an HKS speedloader that works real nice with my Stoeger Cougar double stack magazines. Why struggle loading a clip when it really doesn't help you shoot better.
