In the Los Angeles (Inglewood) area, LAX Ammo has the best quality ammo for the price. Its roughly around the same when buying online to other companies. ( I think)

I find I use Selway Armory a lot. Good prices good service. Also check out Lucky Gunner and Able's Ammo.

I start with ammoseek.com and go from there. Will buy locally if on sale but some of the claibers I use are not readily available locally.

Just make sure you do your due diligence ordering online. I just got burned first time ordering from a company I never dealt with before. They advertised the ammo as recoil managed but what they sent me was regular ammo. Not happy but I can still use it so I didn't raise a stink and it was about the same price I pay anyway.

I just drop by my local Walmart and buy as much as I want since I don't go for the high priced stuff.

gun-deals.com is a good starter.
I often end up at sgammo.com

If you catch Sportsman's Guide with a free shipping coupon, you can sometimes get a really good deal there. SG Ammo is good as well. I just use one of the gun search engines to find the best deal. I have saved a ton over the years by purchasing a case at a time online as opposed to a box or two at Xmart.

I've bought from luckygunner and other websites before, but the shipping costs are a killer. Seriously, bulk ammo is heavy.

Now I go to gun shows. There's a wholesaler who shows up for a lot of the Western US shows (Miwall out of Grass Valley CA). It's pretty similar to web prices on a per round basis, but you don't have to pay for shipping.

Currently I dont re-load.. I buy bulk.. Assuming I can get 1000 ronuds of 9mm brass for 179.00 I was wondering what the cost savings per bullet would be comparing bulk purchase to reloading.

I am thinking if it is a pretty good savings I may just re-load..

Thanks

We buy all of our semi-auto ammo at Orr Tactical https://www.orrtactical.com/ . Alan is a retired Marine Col. and a friend of ours. His company has begun supplying several agencies and ranges in the area. I don't really pay attention to shipping as he's about 10 minutes from the house.

As they don't make revolver ammo, I usually get that from LAX Ammo.

I start with Ammo seek and go where ever that takes me. Then pick a vendor I'm confident about using. Have used Selway quite a bit lately. Their location makes shipping to AZ much less than many other sellers.

Targetsportsusa.com offers free shipping if you buy a case. They are usually competitively priced.
