Already bought this year:
Mosin 91/30
Yugo SKS M59/66

I'm contemplating a package deal a friends father has, a 2.5" S&W M66-2 and a Grendel P-10. Basically buy the Smith and get a Grendel free. I don't have much use for the Grendel but it's an interesting design, makes one wonder "what were they thinking?" There's also a gun show this weekend so we'll have to see what presents itself.

LCR in .38, or a used .38 with a 4" barrel will likely be next.
I am thinking of a revolver as well but if I go this route why not opt for the LCR .357 and shoot .38's if preferred? Unless the price differential between the .357 and .38 is ridiculous that is (I haven't looked ).

-Cheers

I'm picking up a CZ75 SP-01 with manual safety tommorow and I'm hoping to pickup a Savage all weather in 260 Rem early next year with my tax return.

new gun purchases for 2013

Handguns: I've read alot of not so great reviews but I still want to get a Sig Mosquito. My son has one, and it is alot of fun to shoot. Picky on ammo but shoots good once he found what it likes (CCI Stingers). I also plan to get a blue 4 5/8" Ruger Blackhawk 45 Colt/45ACP convertable.

Rifles: I would like to get a lever action .308, either a nice Savage 99 or a Browning BLR, preferably one of the all steel Belgians. Don't need a take down model and don't care for the aluminum receiver light weights.

lastly, I would like to get a 222 Remington barrel for my Contender, I would be happy with either a 10" or a Super 14.

The above list is what I want, but I am open to "guns of opportunity" that pass my way.

Earlier, I said that I wanted to get an SR9c, but now I'm back to thinking that a Glock 19 might be the way to go. . . Still pondering the issue.

Just out of curiosity, what is your intended use for the .454? I was going to get one just for collective purposes but "for now" have put it on hold?
Just because I want it ... All I NEED I already have

Last week my LGS had a 2-day S&W days. I picked up a .40 Shield for $399 + tax. While they were doing the paper work, I saw this model 10 smiling at me. I asked to fondled it and could not put it down. It was one clean, very little holster wear, no rust anywhere, and with a baby-butt smooth trigger and they were only asking for $222 + tax. OH COME ON !!!! Who can resist that ????

I took both home that day.....

I know what you mean on the Smith Model 10--First handgun I ever shot was my Dad's service revolver. I will never forget it and to this day it has a special place in my heart not to mention that it's an iconic gun historically speaking.

The only gun I plan to acquire yet before the year end is a newly made version of a very old design. I'm going to get a Uberti 3rd Model Dragoon. This is the gun that I've always wanted but for some reason it has eluded my purchase.

Propforce, your $222 Model 10 is exactly what I meant by "guns of opportunity". Some guns you run across and are such a good deal you have to take them home even though they may not be what (you thought) you were looking for.

I just ordered a Fusion Firearms 1911 from the owner about 2 hours ago. I'm sure it will take a few months to get to me.

Can't decide on a revolver or a 1911, neither of which I have yet. S&W 686 4in/6in or the Ruger SR1911 that Cabela's called and said that they have on hold for me until next Monday. Choices, choices

I was a one-gun-per-year guy, until I got married! I haven't bought a new gun since . . . 2005?
That was me too, then I got a divorce and now I can buy all the guns I want Nice thing is that my girlfriend doesn't dare say anything cause she almost buys as many shoes as I buy guns!

Anyway, my next purchase for me is a CZ75B as well and maybe another Glock.

Possibly 1 pistol purchase.
Possilbly Saiga 12 so i can spend 2014 on upgrades.

I'm considering buying a Glock 27 to replace my Glock 30/Sig Sauer P228R as my EDC.

I had issues with my old Glock 22, which is why I traded it away, but I'm really contemplating going back to the .40.

If I decide to do it, it'll likely be a birthday present to myself in December...

I just ordered the barrel and last its bitsy pieces and upper and lower build kits for my completely from scratch build of my 300 Blackout Ar 15 build. Going to make a slide show of each and every part built as they are done. Then when I can afford it, add a suppressor to it for subsonic hog hunting with 220 grn 30 cal fun.......................................hehehe
