M71 Mauser help

I have a boltless rifle built on an M71 receiver and i could use some help finding a new (old) bolt for it. I have seen a few rifles on the web but by and large they are going for 1000 dollars or more. and if i bought one of these i would still be one boolt short. I suppose most companies do not post up beater rifles that could be used for parts. If anyone out there knows a place where i could find a M1871 Mauser Bolt i would love it. I have been to a half a hundred web pages with no luck. Thanks for any help.

Keep checking gunbroker. They do come up, it's just not something that 's sold often as most are in the hands of dedicated collectors. On the other hand, the 1871s never went to war, so a lot of the survived in good condition.

You might write to [email protected] and see if he has any. He might know of a place that does if he doesn't have one.

Have you checked Gun Parts (www.gunpartscorp.com?) I didn't check the web site, but their catalog shows Model 71 bolts at (ready for this?) $105.
