Cleaning ported barrel

How do you clean the lead buildup in the ports of a ported barrel (Taurus Tracker .357)

Carefully... most use a twist drill a little smaller than the port and turn it by hand.

My experience with other systems- don't have a Taurus- is that they tend to be self limiting as the pressure from subsequent rounds blows out some of the fouling from prior shots.

I've always had pretty good results with a round wooden toothpick.

Thanks, I'll try the toothpick. I'm a little afraid that a drill bit might damage the ports.
