new mossberg 590 20 inch barrell

What is the deal the front sling mount being on the end of the magazine tube cap.......first I don't have a sling long enough. Then what if I need the bayonet. Can I put something over the hole if I don't use the sling mount there. What is the best sling and sling mount? And hiw bad will a side saddle not match the parkerized look?

Oh and the speed feed stock is nice.

On the one I had there was a spot to screw the sling mount stud on the back of the bayonet lug.

While I dont think a 590 even needs a side saddle, or a bayonet for that matter, there will be a difference in color between the receiver and the saddle...but not so much that you cant get used to it.

As for a sling I had no problem finding a simple nylon web sling that fit it very well. This one is 52" long.
