Ar 15's how many ? - Page 2

Thanks for enlightening me. I'm a casual shooter and non-hunter, so I didn't focus on the need for different calibers, and the different setups for different purposes. Not my thing, but different strokes for different folks. Kind of funny and very irritating that the gun-banners say that "no-one has a need" for these types of guns. The AR platform is probably one of the most versatile platforms out there (after a good 'ole pump shotgun).

Just one in .22lr, M&P 15-22. Don't plan on a .223/5.56 AR at any time.

Me=0 AR-15's. Neighbor is "mid two digits" of AR-15's.

just one for me so far...spikes mid length upper 14.5 inch...

although i have a feeling im going to want another one...

probably a sbr...i love the stubby look

I have one, that I barely shoot as is. I am more of a .22 guy because well, thats what I can afford to shoot.

However I want at least one other AR15. Not yet though, other guns I dont have take priority.

As the AR platform is modular, I see no need to get multiple guns. Just swap uppers out if needed.

I disagree.. if you can afford more and want more then get more!! I have a few, each has its own purpose and its easier to grab another rifle than break it down and swap uppers.

before our houseboat sunk in over 400 feet of water, 12 years ago, i had 34 AR-15's, 14 of them NIB, another 16 were fired but retired due to their collectibility, the other 4 were "beaters" but very good shooters..., now all i have is an old worn out single shot .22 that shoots 12 inch groups at 15 yds.

Two complete rifles. One a 16" general-purpose carbine with an EOTech and BUIS, and the other is a home built, SPR-ish rifle. 18" stainless steel barrel, Giselle SDM trigger, and Leupold glass.

Building my second one was very satisfying, now there's a ghost in my house that whispers 'SBR' in to my ear as I fall asleep.

Only 1, an old PWA M4rgery. If I get another, I will likely build a complete rifle. Lowers are cheap and it will most likely be dedicated to an entirely different purpose.

I have one with a 16" barrel and want either an upper or a whole rifle with a 20" barrel. So far it is looking like Windham varmint exterminator I have shot a couple and know they are extremely accurate. I am just not so sure about Colt. I have a friend that has a pre ban Colt that is very accurate and have a couple at the gun club that are not so accurate.

I just picked up lucky number seven (20" SS bull) here. Five are 5.56, one is 5.45x39 and the last is .22lr. Barrel lengths run the gamut from 14.5 to 20". One of my favorite's is KISS 20" A1 upper with CAV arms lower.
