Guns you gave up and now can't find or can't afford.
Mine is the Webley Mark VI that had the cylinder cut. It was a heavy chunk of steel and I'd have loved to do a proper loading in proper brass for it but I'm long past that.

Mosin Nagant 91/30. Bought her back when they were $99, and a spam can of 440rnds was just $80. Had to sell her as I was tight on cash. Now they are up around $400 and I just can't justify it.

Mine was an 1894 Winchester. They're selling for crazy prices now and I don't have that much money for something I don't really need.

Yes, I have, and it's not just guns.... It's a common human problem of not fully appreciating what you've got 'til it's gone.

The one gun that I sold decades ago and that I cannot replace is an INA "Tiger" nickel plated 38 special. It was a Brazilian knock-off of a S&W Chiefs Special.
Actually, a fairly well made pistol - shot the heck out of it and it always fired perfectly. |

Not "gave up". More along the lines of "my budget won't let me get this now" and then not available when I had the money.

More vexing is that I decided to get rid of my 7.62X39 firearms since none of them were really that accurate. Sold a Russian SKS for $400, again what I paid for it but soon after they went past $1000. Also sold a Saiga 7.62X39....I regret it but I can't tell you really why since I sold it because it was a 5 MOA gun no matter how carefully I loaded or handled it.

Lots of them. Too many of them. 1911s, BHPs, Auto-5s, Winchester Model 70s, Model 12s and 1894s, a really nice Winchester 1886 takedown model, a Howa 1500 in 223 that shot amazingly well, Colt New Service revolvers, Colt Pythons and Diamondbacks, Police Positives and Official Police Colts, Charter Arms Pugs, a couple of Lugers, Mauser K98ks, Ruger 77s, 77/22s, 10/22s, Mark Is and IIs, Sauer 100 switch-barrel, the list goes on. But at the time it always sounded like a good idea or I needed the money.

In college you could buy a SKS and a tin of ammo for under $150.
I used to be into H&R handi rifles. Get one or $200 used. Winchester 30-30s were in every pawn and gun shop for under $300 in the early 2000s Finn Mosins were under $350 Regular Mosins were $49 I was buying rack grade Garands for $395 Woodless Danish Garands from the CMP were $295 M1 Carbines were $450 Besides the SKS that was less than 15 years ago. |

Colt Cobra 2nd Generation or whatever the 1970s early 1980s model is referred to as. Really loved that little gun which was in pristine condition. Still can't remember why I sold it.

In the 90's M1 Carbines were cheap and plentiful. I traded a nice IBM carbine for an excellent Martini-Henry. At the time this was an excellent trade. I figured I could always find another IBM carbine. Alas, I never did and soon thereafter M1 Carbines prices skyrocketed and now go for about 6 times what they did then. I wish I'd paid cash.

Sure
I traded away a very nice 6" M27 S&W, pinned and recessed, for a more recent 6" M29, and eventually traded the M29 away as well. I wish I still had both.
I bought a Mini14, new, traded it on a Mini30, also new. Still have the Mini30, but Mini's in general are priced through the roof and .223 ammo is still very common. I don't see how Ruger can keep selling Mini14's given the price v. Traded away a Rem 870 Express in .410 when I quit raising beagles for rabbit hunting. I came out ahead in the deal, I'd bought the .410 quite a while back, but .410 Remingtons are now very desirable. |

Arisaka type 44 and Arisaka type 2.
G43. Those would have been cool to have. Now they're ridiculous.
