Glock 22C or Springfield XD40 V-10
I am looking to get a new pistol and have narrowed it down to either the Glock 22C or the Springfield XD40 V-10 . I have never shot either one, but was looking for a good semi-auto that would eventually be a competion shooter when I get back stateside. I already have a Beretta 96, bone stock and want to keep it that way, so this new pistol will be the base for all kinds of "toys". Also is the compensated/ported version better or worse (never shot a compensated/ported pistol, but understand the purpose for better recovery, etc..) .

Here's a pic of my V-10. It's my very first gun and I love it. The only thing that is bad about the gun is the front sight gets dirty. But if you clean your gun regularly, then it won't be a problem.
