Jackalope,,,
I saw my first Jackalope mounted on a tavern wall in 1956,,,
My Dad, Uncle, and Grandfather told me about them,,, Vicious critters that would hamstring a poor hunter,,, They were plentiful in upper peninsula Michigan,,, We lived on Drummond Island in Lake Huron. I spent that night (well, a few hours of it anyways),,, Sitting on a picnic table wrapped in a blanket,,, Me and my trusty Daisy were all ready. I'm almost 60 now and my 80 year old pappy,,, Still tells that story of my "first hunt". I was only 5 years old then,,, I hunted those wary things for weeks,,, Until my Mom finally clued me in on the truth. I always have and will always continue to love my Pop,,, But I don't think I'll ever forgive him for that one. Aarond
