Welcome Gerry. You are going to love that 6.5C. There's a lot of very good affordable factory ammunition available for it. I don't want to politicize the thread, but typing that out got me wondering about reloading over there is it legal and commonly practiced?

Hello

I that's for the hello, yes reloading is legal I have a Lee reloading press and a set of foster dies, the only things that are " illegal are to own a pistol unless it's 24" long , so we have to suffer a fake suppressor on the front with a piece of metal protruding from the rear like a coat hanger to make it 24" long ,,,madness I know, we can only have bolt action or straight pull rifles ..no semi or full auto, only semi is in .22 , I have a smith and Weston mp15/22, I also have a Rossi underlever 38/357 and a pietta .44 blackpowder 1858 new model army, the police here are not to bad but with cuts the take a long time to issue variations on your licence I can have 5 weapons on my licence and when I apply for a variation as long as I can justified it I will get it....thanks I'm looking for what you guys are doing in regard to reloading , I use a full size die at the moment but is neck sizing better and cheaper...6.5 Creedmoor cost me £190.00 per 100... That's pounds not dollars ..hence the need to reload...

Hello

Forgot to say reloading is very popular as the cost of ammo here is very high, but the shooting industry is very good here , look up Bisley shooting ground , it's where most of us shoot from 100 out to 1200 yards , we have to have a shooting certificate to shoot on most military ranges, there are a few private ranges but not many, costs is usually about £30 per day , how does that compare with you...if we want a proper pistol no extensions we have to have a Section five certificate , very difficult to get...we can have .22 like a GSG 1911, but with a stupid fake suppressor and piece of metal sticking out the back ...24" long, same with a 38 & 44 revolvers....wish we had you second amendment ..cheers

For decades in reloading for bolt-action cartridges, I only neck-size my own fired brass. Just back off the full length sizing die so that about 3/4 of the neck is resized. Occasionally do a full-length resize to set the shoulder back where it's at the proper length. Cases can stretch a bit with use; I've noticed it most with my .243 after three or four reloads.

Welcome!

Are people in England allowed to talk about guns? Isn't that punishable by, oh I don't know, exile to America?

No, it's Italian. It means "either victory, or we'll all be dead" (roughly "victory or death").

Hello

If only....If we where sent to American for talking about Guns, you wouldn't be able to shut me up...the industry here is worth about 3 million to the government in tax ... So they say)...At this time of year Bisley gets extremely busy , it's hard to find somewhere to sleep for a night.there are about 500,000 FAC 1 holders according to some stats. There are a lot more Shotgun certificate holders...
