Wow... Today is my 21st Anniversary on TFL

Just realized that I've now been on The Firing Line for 21 years. Crazy. Started posting here as a young 25 year old kid at his first job out of college, and am still here as a 46 year old middle aged father of three. My TFL join date is now old enough to drink.

Amazing how time goes by. But I've managed to buy another firearm or two [insert understatement] since then as well.

Congrats. You've seen a lot of stuff happen on this forum. Anything in particular memorable?

Good luck in the future (and I hope that goes for all of us).

Well, I will say that I am glad TFL has kept its original format and didn't try to get "cute" with changing categories or technology. I will say it used to feel more like a smaller group of people whose names you would see on a regular basis, but that has changed. Not a bad thing, but just different. Unfortunately I know some of the best from here have since passed, the most memorable being Stephan A. Camp. While I never met him in person, his knowledge and friendly demeanor were a true asset to TFL and the many other forums he frequented.

Martowski - long time and lots of stories. I happened to follow your link to your Blog. I got lost there for a while.

Love that you'd keep your 92.

Congrats

Soon it will be more than half of your life. I'm almost at 20 years joining in 2001. What seems like a lifetime ago. I agree Stephen Camp was one of our most memorable and knowledgeable members.

Thanks for checking it out! I started that a long time ago and haven't posted anything lately, it kind of comes and goes as life gets busy. I still have the '92, but have significantly upgraded it since then. Replaced all the plastic parts with metal and had everything except the slide Cerakoted. Also added some nice wood grips as well.

1999... very nice! I actually had another username from either 99 or 98 that I forgot early on and just created the one I have now.

What a long strange trip it's been.

Remember when TFL shut down for a while?

I joined the same day you did, Martowski!

Chipperman, that is a funny coincidence! Ha! Yeah, I remember when it shut down for awhile. I went and hung out at THR for awhile but for some reason that never clicked with me the same as TFL.
