Found Win 231 today!
Wasn't even looking for it, I just saw it sitting there and I paused for a couple seconds, kind of almost stunned. The guy said "do you need powder?" And I said yes please, that very last lb of 231!
That was a nice surprise. Oh and 5 boxes of 22 ammo (50) for $15. All in all a good haul today.

Must be coming back. local Field & Stream had 1 pound, first I'd seen in two years. Bought it, date code 12/14 so Hodgdon must be ramping up production again. Didn't score any .22 though, nice job!

Titegroup
I have always used Bullseye and 231 but hadn't been able to find any so I bought 2 or 3 jars of Titegroup the other day and I like it very well

The .22 was Federal and was $2.99 a box, so $15 total. And yeah, can't wait to crack that jar of 231!

Yes, W231/HP-38 really does exist in the wild and has not gone extinct. I bought 4 lbs of HP-38 last week. It marked the completion of a two-year quest. I am happy too.
My inventory now contains: Nitro 100, Bullseye, W231/HP-38, AA2, Unique, AA5, Power Pistol, HS-6, AA7, & W296 to finish with the slow stuff. I'm well stocked now. Finally.

231 is what my local dealer has on hand. It's Bullseye he can't seem to find.

I got 5 lbs of hp38 a week or two ago through Cabelas, worked out to $30.00/lbs after hazmat and shipping. Not great but it did fill the niche as I can't seem to find any w231 in this area.

Congrats!!! I found Win 760 this weekend at the gun show for 25 a pound. Needless to say I wanted to stock up but funds dictated that I should stick with 2 pounds. That'll do me a year or so at least anyway. I thought I would have to work a new load up for my .270 with another powder and I wasn't looking forward to it. I know there may be some more ideal powders, but 52 grains of Win 760 with 130 grain Sierra gameking SPBT would shoot about .4 moa average groups out of my rifle all day every day. I had a good source for Win 760 and that's why I worked this load... well my source dried up so now I have my perfect load that I couldn't find powder for anymore until recently. Feels good to have it back doesn't it!

I just saw 231 one pounders at Cabela's the other day. They had about 8 of them and a couple of HP-38's as well. That were pricy at $25.00. I have a little out of the way shop that has all the powder I want. I picked up Bullseye for $18.50 a few months ago. I'll be swinging in a week or two to get more and see what he has for 231 as those are the two I've been using.

I was in the same Cabela's last night and they had more 231 and HP-38. About a dozen 231's and a 18 or so HP's. Cabela's must have gotten a good shipment and it's hitting the shelves.

Red Dot
According to gunbot, Cabela's has Red Dot right now.
It's not the greatest handgun power ever, but if anybody needs fast stuff, it'll definitely do. Addendum, 09:49 PST: I went on Cabela's site, and they have Red Dot, Unique, and Bullseye in stock.

Wow, if I didn't have to travel 2 hours to my nearest cabelas I'd be all over that!
My LGS has clay dot in stock though, good bulk pricing too, I may jump on that.

Ok I ordered some clay dot. They had it for $136 for an 8lb jug or $17.99 bulk lb. I just got two lb to see how it does.
Supposedly it's about like clays for pistol. I like alliant powders anyways, and the cool "dots" are a neat thing to look at.

Cabellas had 8-1lb tubs on shelf today. Little pricey at 25.99 but I can live with it
