454 reduced laods
can someone suggest what powder to used for reduced 454 casull loads. I'd like to use a 260 grain bullet at around 44 mag velocities. Of course data would also be appreciated.

The absolute best for 454 lites is Unique, IMO.
9gr with a 260gr bullet should be a good starting place. You'll find about 50fps increase if you use a magnum primer, but I've noticed less consistency doing that. |

I should think that any of the book loads for super-hot (TC Contender or Ruger only) .45 Colt loads would be exactly what you're looking for.

454 reduced loads
Isn't a 454 reduced load called a .45 LONG COLT?
