My guess is that the Glock 18 has probably been deactivated in some way.
In any case, it's not nearly on par with the cool guns Teddy Roosevelt had.

off-topic; Bush P-35 9mmNATO...
To my knowledge, POTUS Bush(aka W) also had Saddam's Hi-Power 9mm sidearm too. I saw the news clip where Bush talked about the pistol. I think he gave that custom HP pistol to the NRA headquarters & museum in VA.

The article says that police turned the info over to the DA. The latter will determine if prosecution is needed. Given the uproar to ban hicap mags, certainly - he should be prosecuted or the issue raised that they are not dangerous to own. Can't have it two ways.

Prosecutors enjoy wide discretion in who they prosecute. I would be surprised if they prosecute Gregory.

How's this for fair all around.
DC prosecutor presses misdemeanor charge against Gregory. Gregory pleads out for token community service time, no fine, no jail. Gregory is a martyr to the cause, DC law is bent, but upheld.... Then two years down the road, some amendment to a law is passed that says anyone ever convicted of a misdemeanor crime where a firearm law was broken has to forfeit their media credentials.. |

Here's an update with the latest information...
Basically, no arrest, and the DC police have forwarded the matter to the DC Office of the Attorney General. http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/...david-gregory/ I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to realize that it's going to die there.

I guess as long as the DA likes your opinion, breaking the law on national TV is OK.
It's a bad law, but this is a sorry excuse for a legal outcome. |

Given the rationale that no intent to harm was present and it was an exercise of 1st Amend. rights - might not a set of prominent and with no criminal record gun supporters from the nearby NRA office or sympatico folks in the area, have a peaceful demonstration holding such magazines outside of the NBC offices to make the point of both 1st. and 2nd Amend. rights?
Have about 50 folk.
