Autocad (.dwg) drawing files of AR-15
I was looking around for some files just to print out some flat diagrams to help in planning my new AR build.
Shockingly, after searching this morning and being bumped from one site to the next, all I came up with was one 3-d model of a lower. Which is fine, I can print out a side view. So, does anyone actually have any normal 2-d just plain Autocad drawings? I guess I could create some (I am an Architect, not an engineer) but I just figured that there should be some out there! There are some 3-d modeling specific files, like Solid works, but I can't insert them into Autocad. |

Solid Works 2D views have to be created from the 3D file, at the end when it is placed on the sheet to be printed. There, it has specialty buttons for side view, end, section, etc. once the 3D view is placed on the paper view.
I'm not sure what may be available for Autocad 2D, but I do know some have been done. Use Google's Images search and do a search for 'AR-15 drawing'. I would think you may find some links there. |

Looks like only solid works.
45_auto - that link did not really work? Anyway, I did find some through Sketchup website. Kind of like Solidworks but not cad/cam just drawing and rendering. I can work with it their. I will eventually post them back after I am done. |

AR-15 CAD files
If the download prompts you for a password, you can find it near the top of this page: Manuals

GrabCAD has a lot of different gun/parts models. Sadly no model of the VZ58 or MP7, but there's tons of AR stuff.
