Roger's Rangers at Ft. Frederick
For the final episode in my series on the 2013 Fort Frederick 18th century Market Fair, I'd like to show you a ceremony I attended with Jaeger's Battalion on Roger's Rangers. Jaeger's Battalion is the oldest, continuously operating re-enactment unit in the United States. They were founded 61 years ago by John Jaeger, and are commanded today by Maj Tim Toddish. Fort Frederick hosts one on the largest gatherings of Jaeger's Battalion in the country. In 2013, 63 rangers were present at Fort Frederick, representing five companies; the Virginia company, the Pennsylvania Company, the Maryland Company, the Mississippi Company and the Kansas Company.
put this video up last night, but I had to delete it to fix a problem and reload it today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnR_on248tY Last edited by duelist1954; May 9, 2013 at 01:22 PM. |
