Marlin 1895/336 scope base
Do these two rifles use the same mounts? I am looking at a mount that specifically says 1895, while other's I've seen are universal marlin mounts. Didn't know if maybe they had different screw spacings.

Should be the same. I have used 336 bases on 444s and 1895s in the past.

Thanks I was 99% sure they were the same and the other screw holes on some of the mounts were for the 1894.

Weaver #63B will fit on all of them. The 1895 and 336 are the SAME RECEIVER. Just drilled out different.

When you say drilled out different are you referring to the mount holes or the internals?
I"m specifically looking at the midwest industries ghost ring. I tried contacting them via phone which went nowhere and haven't heard back via email yet. The mount they have is specified for an 1895 so I wasn't sure if it had different spacing for the mounts |

The internals. All the outside deminsions are the same. I have a Weaver 63B on a 30/30 , a .35 and the same on a 444.
The 63B is for mounting a scope. |
