removing trigger group on 870 Express

The owners manual for my 870 Express doesn't tell you to take the trigger group out to clean. Instead, the say to spary Rem Oil into it, let drain, and spray again (an obvious attempt to get you to buy more of their Rem Oil. The trigger group is held in by two pins, like my Mossberg. I'm sure I couls punch those out and remove the group for a real cleaning. Would I have to take the barrel and action off, or can I just take the trigger group out? I see I'm gonna have to take the Knoxx Spec Ops stock off to really remove it.

pull the slide back fully, take the barrel and stock off, punch out the 2 receiver pins. pull downward and back on the trigger guard. the trigger group should come right out. i've pulled mine once. took a toothbrush and got out what very little junk was in there. sprayed it with rem oil, shook it off and put it back in.

watch out though, one or both of the slide rails may move back or forward after pulling the trigger group out. if it/they do. push it/they back to where you can see through the holes in the receiver sides. the rail/s will be lined up right. other wise the pin/s will not go back in. be careful not to pull the trigger while its out of the receiver.
