Hey guys,

I was looking at a new Uberti Cattleman revolver in 45 long colt at a local gunshop. They want about $325 for the 4" model with the antique finish on it. The action seems fairly smooth and the gun looks good. Is this a reasonable price? How good are these revolvers?

Howdy Alex,

Uberti makes the best of the clone pistols on the market. Like just about any CAS pistol, they can benefit from an action job. I shoot two Uberti 1875 Remingtons in three matches a month and have only had a handspring break in the 20 months I've been shooting them. The price is pretty good for that pistol. As an alternative, you could probably find a Ruger Vaquero for not too much more money.
