how old is my 870 wingmaster?

I just got a 870 wingmaster from my brother, and i dont know much at all about the history of this gun, and i was wondering if anyone knew if there was a good way to figure out when it was manufactured. I cant seem to find anything that will give me the age of this shotgun. any help would be appreciated.

Easy.Call Remington at 800-243-9700 and give them the serial number.

Now go shoot it.

Or do a Google search for "Remington 870 date of manufacture"

The info might also be on this website, I believe it came up in the past, use the search feature.

I recently purchased a CMP garand. Was able to find the date of manufacture by googling as above
