double fireing double animo eibar
A friend of mine has a sxs 12ga "animo eibar" that double fires when the right trigger is pulled.
i.e. pull and both barrels fire. What could be the problem? how much would it cost to fix? also, how much would this shotgun be worth (approx) if it were not busted? thanks 1,000,000 C-

Eibar is a gun making region in Spain, the products from there vary greatly in quality. Spanish steel used to be on the soft side, and it sounds like there's sear wear on your buddy's double.
Try sending it to Greg Wolfe in Easton. He's good and will let your bud know if it's worth fixing. It probably is. HTH.... |
