10.3x60r?
I'm not sure if this is in the right spot... I was looking into some different rifle calibers, and this one popped up. After looking for what firearm shoots this Swiss load, I cant find one. I can find a company called Vetterli, I believe it was, that shot a 10.4 cal. I also believe I read, that the 10.3x60r was a single shot rifle, and that it was still used as a minimum cartridge in a part of Sweden. Does anyone know, if this is a gun made today or a C&R gun, as well as, who makes a/the gun and model that shoots this caliber? Has it ever been used in bolt action and has an internal or external mag for more shells? Thanks for any help.

CotW says 10.3x60R Swiss is the Continental version of the British (mostly Scottish) .450/.400 2 3/8" BPE.
Mostly seen in Martini single shots, no mention of a repeater. Still available in Switzerland, required for hunting in one canton there. I don't know how to get one in the USA. CotW says the RWS smokeless load is comparable to .405 Win. Which IS available here. |
