Most Accurate Dan Wesson Barrel length?

I have a Dan Wesson .357 Magnum with 6" barrel I bought back in 1974. Unfortunately not having much money back then I skipped buying the complete set which included multiple barrels and shrouds in different lenghts. I've always used this as a target pistol since it is a monsterous size compared to my body height/weight and now that I have returned to re-loading and casting my own bullets after stopping for many years am interested in a longer barrel for target shooting. Anyone out there have experience with the longer barrels on the Dan Wesson .357 Magnum and what I could expect in distance shooting with the different lenghts? Thanks...
