Hog hunting right now. Need advice....

So I finally got my deer blind up and decided to give it a try today. But it's raining not hard just a steady rain fall.

Am I wasting my time? I was planning on staying here all night but it looks like it's going to rain all day. Do hogs come out in the rain?

Shot a 12 point 2 years ago in the rain. I made up my mind to hunt this feeder all day long. Right after I got there it started raining and was pretty cold. Got out of the high rack and into my truck. It was about 1 pm when the deer started moving. If it's just a light drizzle, I would stick it out. More than that, I'm probably taking it to the house, deer moving or not.

Raining here and just drove past a little back and white piglet in the 50lb range in a small pasture off hwy 281.
Stay put and see what comes your way, if nothing , still an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

I've got a game camera out and just about everyday I have about 6 to ten hogs. Deer don't show up very much maybe once or twice every two three weeks. I think the number of hogs I have in the area are scaring the deer away.

So I'm just sitting here watching the feeder and reading a book.

I'm in a blind I built with scaffolding material sitting about 15 ft high it's quite the view...it's stopped raining.

Once it gets dark time to break open the nightvision binos (:

Wet is hog weather, at least up in north central Texas. Hopefully you haven't updated us because you are being skinning, right?

Texting from the stand is fun. It helps de-isolate you from your fellow hunters.

I don't know how the hogs are where you are, but where I am, they seem to appear quite suddenly and can disappear almost as quickly.

Nothing just a raccoon eating my corn. I'll give it another couple of hours.

I ended up leaving around 11pm. Was up on the blind from 4pm to 11pm and was getting a little tired so I gave up and left. I was really surprised I didn't see a hog after seeing some just about everyday on the game camera.

Oh well until another day.
