Leupod delta point pro failure

I am on my third delta point pro. One I dropped, broke the glass (mu fault) and they replaced it.

My other two had the same type of failures. Drifting to the left and low. Where you had to turn the up control the the end. They fixed the 2nd one. I just sent another one back. It was used on a sig .45 super match.

I generally love these rmr units.
Leupold is taking like 3 months for repair.....

What most places do is wait for one to come back where they can't find anything wrong with it and give it to someone else. It then fails later because there was something wrong with it. True in a lot of businesses.

There are people on ar15com that claim the Deltapoints are just as tough as an Aimpoint... Use it as a primary on a rifle, they work great.

They claim that for a lot of these miniature reflex sights...

Your statements on dropping and breaking the sight goes against thier claims...

I have never felt these things are a good option as a primary rifle sight. Always looked like one good solid drop onto the optic would kill it, with 6lb of rifle landing on top.

The RMR looks like the toughest of the bunch, still not sold on it as a primary.

For a pistol, you don't really have a choice but these sights.

Maybe I just have bad luck. I have 5 other pistols and 3 of them have the Delta point pro.

I like the RMR (have a v1) but it's kinda BS they have the battery issues they do for such an expensive sight. You have to bend the battery terminals out, jam some tape behind them, then put a couple piece of tape under the battery to help keep it in place or you will get flickering and the dot will sometimes shut off between shots.

I was really considering the delta point but glad i went with RMR if they are that fragile!
