6.5x55Swede 107gr Vs 120 Vs 140 and Sierra140hpbtVsHornadyAmax140grbt
I know the swede is superb with its 140gr hpbt pills but how does it do with the 107s or 120s (accuracy wise).
Anyone have much luck squeezing good accuracy out of the 107s/120s? Thanks Pat Also how do the Hornady 140 Grain A-Max shoot compared to the 140 Sierra HPBTs? |

I use the 140 AMAX bullets in my military Swedes and they work great. I switched from the Sierra 140 once I tested some Hornadys and found that they shot well and cost less. The only 120gr bullets I've used have been Speer flat base, but those worked extremely well too. I don't have my notebook handy so I don't recall load specifics, but the powder was either R19 or R22.

Thanks exercion, that was kind of my angle-I found that my local gun shop has a couple boxes of the Hornady A-Max 140s for like 18.00 for 100 (old prices) and the old prices on the Sierra 140 HPBT matchkings are still like 25.00.
They usually rip people off pretty badly but their old priced stuff ends up being pretty decent because prices are always rising and eventually even their old high prices are low haha Thanks Pat |
