Great Movie Gunfight Scene

I just finished watching "Crossing Over" on DVD.
A pretty good flick about immigration.
Anyway, there is a scene where an off duty ICE agent takes out 4 robbers with his Sig-Sauer.
Excellent illustration of shooting while moving, one & two handed point shooting and the necessary mental attitude for survival.
I hope someone can you tube the scene someday soon.

Best movie gun fight scene I've seen was in Waterhole #3 where the bad guy calls the good guy out. Good guy grabs a rifle, lays it across the saddle of the horse and shoots the bad guy who's in the street waiting to have a gun fight.

That reminds me of Judge Roy Bean and Bad Bob the Albino.

I've never seen crossing over.
Might have to check it out....

Greatest movie gunfight scenes...

The Good, The bad, The ugly - The famous Tuco "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk" scene.

Star Wars - Han shot first

Collateral - "Yo homie, is that my briefcase"

And possibly the funniest "gunfight" I've ever seen...."Spaced"

It's a weird quirk of mine, I love to watch movie swordfights go on forever but I like the bang-and-it's-over gunfights in hollywood.

How goes this as tactics and training?
I doubt it would even fly in Gen Disc section

How about the "sword fight" scene Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indiana Jones uses his gun instead? That was awesome.

Just a few examples

THE QUICK AND THE DEAD, when Gene Hackman sees his shadow with the sunlight shining through the hole in his chest;

HEAT, the shootout in the streets after the robbery;

TAKEN, the scene with Liam Neeson in the Albanian mob's building;

Opening scene of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN;

OPEN RANGE, Costner shooting the bad guy who has taken Annette Benning hostage;

What else I find funny is so many folks will drop a dime on the simplest of infractions callin' 911 but we have well over a hundred "witnesses" to this "tom foolery" and no one snitched Me? I like waiting to see how long it takes for a mod to stumble on a thread or for someone to snitch...

There is some T&T value here. For instance:

Now I know what to do when confronted by an alien bounty hunter.
How to deal with a religious cult ninja.

I'm going to cancel my wifes basic pistol course tomorrow and just rent a few movies for her.

I'm watching "The True Story of Bonnie and Clyde" as I type this....some good gunfight scenes in it. Man, I'd love to have that BAR.

Love that scene. Harrison Ford was supposed to do a huge elaborate fight scene but just drew his pistol and shot. The sword guy went with it and the rest is history. Some of the greatest movie scenes were adlibs.

The stories i've heard go something like this...If you watch that scene closely you can see that Harrison Ford was sick as a dog that day and apparently they couldn't get the scene right, so in exhaustion Ford resorted to the now-famous "just shoot him" response.

I'm sure that Matt meant to get into some serious tactics with this (he always does ), but without the actual video, there isn't much point.

Given that, it was inevitable that this would wander off into the world of Hollywood, where tactics never fail and guns never run out of bullets .

I'm closing this, but if someone can come up with a video link to the scene Matt's talking about, AND... it stays on topic as a serious training / tactics thread, feel free to restart this.

Closed.
