Pedersoli Whitworth

Guys it's here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3-kXi7lqxs

Pedersoli is now making Whitworth reproduction rifles. These were used as sniper rifles during the American Civil War.

If you want a Whitworth, now might be the change. Take care!

Beautiful rifle and good tutorial !!!!

Model12Win
Thanks you for the link and besides this being a real beauty, a number of things did not go unnoticed, at least to me. .......

1) His loading was consistent and he did not bounce or hammer the RamRod.
2) He loaded using light RamRod pressure and got tighter groups.
3) He had a very light to modest FFFG load.
4) He Cleaned after every round.

Be Safe !!!

I'm glad to see they have the hexagonal bore of the originals. BTW you can use traditional minies in them.

Actually you can use .451 conicals with them. Original Whitworths had either the .451 hexagonal bolts or their conical equivalent. I read somewhere that the hexangonals were better for very long range shooting.

There were mile hits outside of Atlanta. Hooker was conducting a review and his aide and several of his escort were hit. He then sent the 13th NJVI to drive them out. They did and returned with 30 PoWs but once back, the rebels got saucy again.

Bill Adams (Company of Military Historians, collector, 19th Century rifle expert) was not impressed by one.

The hammer was not quite right. The rear sight is like that of a P-53 Enfield and the hooded front sight like the Enfield/Volunteer/P-H Whitworth sights. The "second quality" chequering isn't right and appeared to him heat pressed.

Surprisingly quite good in accuracy.
Must be the American walnut contributing to that.
