Ruger 22/45 magazines

Has anyone compiled the interchangeability of the Ruger Mark I thru IV 22/45 magazines? There may be a thread somewhere on TFL, but I thought I would ask again in 2018 to bring info up to date. What accessories are needed to modify/upgrade among them?
There is a lot of misleading info posted by internet sellers about compatibility, so I hope the issue can be set straight with this thread.

When I had my Mk III 22/45, I had to buy magazines directly from Ruger. The Mk 1 and Mk II magazines don't fit the Mk III.
