Decent weapon light for $50?
One of the ideas I had for my brother's Christmas gift was a light to mount on one of his ARs. I usually budget $50 for our exchange. I already have some ideas for something that can throw adequate light to about a hundred yards, but they're considerably higher than my price range.
So, I guess I'll explore options for a light that would work at closer ranges, like in home/yard defense. You guys have any to recommend? |

Streamlight ... if you can find them on sale. These are a tad over $50. Amazon will help with reviews.

It's a crapshoot, but ebay will have several that meet your needs. But you might have to replace them much sooner than a more reputable brand.
I'd take TJB's advice and lood for at least a Streamlight. And Amazon reviews are your friend IF they actually review it. (Reviews with 5 word or less are often paid reviews that are always 5 stars. Avoid)

I used a Surefire G2X mounted in a 1” scope ring for years. $40 for the flashlight currently.
