Baby Browning ?

I have a Browning 25 I got from my dad and would like to know more- when made, etc.

Made in Belgium
S//N= 149118
Browning Arms Company, St Louis Missouri.

I looked on Browning site and they don't go back to this serial number.

would like to get several magazines for it.
What ammo is available?

on the slide, i has CAL 6mm/35

There are two versions of the Browning .25.
Post pictures, or tell us where the safety is.

This is another example of sloppy recordkeeping by Browning in knowing what it actually sells or has sold. Apparently it's too much trouble to write stuff down when it arrives from the manufacturer.

On the "Date Your Gun" for the .25acp Baby Browning they have this:

Although the "Baby" Browning was first produced at F.N. in 1905, Browning didn't import them until 1954. Accurate serial number counts were not available until 1959.

Not exactly.

The FN Model 1905 "Vest Pocket" model was first produced in 1905, but the distinctly different "Baby" was not produced until 1931. Parts do not interchange and the Baby is smaller than the 1905.
As Bill posted, the location of the safety is one thing that helps in identifying a Vest pocket from a true Baby, the Vest Pocket has a grip safety and the safety is at the left rear of the frame, the Baby Browning has no grip safty and it's thumb safety is located near the trigger guard.

here's some shots.
Safety is on left side.
On the right side is a "lever/slide" just behind the trigger. It will move back when the slide is back, but I can't seem to figure what it does.??

Any idea on value?

The "lever" is the sear bar. It connects the trigger to the sear.
