Anyone Use Universal in Light 12 Gauge
Haven't found any recipies for Universal in 7/8, or 1.0 oz. 12 gauge with STS hulls. Perhaps this powder is overly slow for these loads, but I have seen a post, or two where someone mentioned using Universal with their 12 gauge loads. Where do I find good recipies for this combination? Have Hogdon's "Freeby" and "Reloading for Shotgunners", but couldn't find a Univeral Clay's load for this combination.

It's a tad slow. Universal is usually used in 1-1/8oz-1-1/4oz loads. For 7/8 loads or super handicap, use titewad, regular clays or even tightgroup (hodgdon just came out with new handicap loads for that economical powder) Check 'em out www.hodgdon.com

For the lighter loads, give Clays a try, I use it in my 1oz loads. Save the Universal for 1 1/8 oz loads.
