express sights

Would it be silly to put express sights on a home defense gun?
Some folks are loving them on their handguns, and say the only downside is they're less than match accurate.
Not an issue with a riot gun.
What do you all think?

Hans Vang is putting AO Express Pro sights on a Rem 870 Police shotgun he is building for me. I'll know how much I like the sights after XMAS when Santa drops it off under our tree.

I have a set of Ashley Express Big Dots on one of my 870's. I like them a lot and I will likely put another set on my other 870.
Both of these SG's have rifle-sighted barrels so the sights went on quite easily.
I shoot a lot of hand-trap with my express-sighted 870 and it works really well.
