Question About December Issue
In the article discussing the Regional IDPA shoot, the author mentions that one of the shooters drew a SIG from concealment and hit a droping target 30 feet away in 0.121 seconds. He then repeated the feat from an exposed draw in 0.89 seconds.
Can I assume that the first time should be 1.21 seconds? |

Yeah.. I noticed that myself....
Somewhere between Machester, TN and the final printing Robbie's shooting went from "worth mentioning" to Bionic. The article reads ".124," but his actual time was 1.24 seconds. A bunch of us went back to that stage after the event and shot it again both concealed and open. I think my best time was just about an even second. Only Robbie was able to bust solidly below the full second barrier with his .89 unconcealed. There was another guy there who had two identical times in the 1 second range with two different pistols... he won the consistency award. Thanks for paying attention! I just picked-up that issue today. Good article.
Whew, I'm glad that it's 1.21 seconds. I was feeling like a mere mortal. But at 1.2 secods, that's almost enough time for a sandwich. |
