Ruger SPNY
Got my Ruger's SPNY (Special Purpose New York)
These were used by New York Police Department (NYPD) detectives and officers as a backup gun. Real neat edition. 5-shot .38 special with unique matte finish, DAO, and with the shorter frame and cylinder of the older model and with special "SPNY" marking on the frame. It's my new EDC. Very cool gun! Thanks guys! -M12 Last edited by Model12Win; January 18, 2018 at 08:32 PM. |

Just outstanding. Neat piece of NYPD history to boot. Get some Buffalo Bore stuff to run it if you want. It will easily handle it.
Found mine NIB years ago. Never shot it. My .357 Magnum SP101 is Wellll worn. |

Dead image for me.
Not sure why. My browser knows it should be there.

Pic is working now - at least for me.
Nice little revolver. Drive it like you stole it.

Good looking SP, I bet she makes a fine cc revolver with that DAO. I carry my 32h&r SP from time to time. Makes a great woods gun.
I always like the look of the ones with the commander hammer. Never seen one in person but looks neat in pictures.
