How to neck a 30-06 to 25-06?

how do i do this, is it just running a 30-06 into a 25-06 sizer die? if so is there any chance of crushing the shoulder, and/or the brass getting stuck in the die?

Lube it well, and you won't have a problem.

Just make sure that you measure the neck of the case carefully after you've seated a bullet.

You might find that you need to ream or outside turn the case necks to get proper chamber clearance.

I ran the 30-06 cases into a full length 270 die which had the neck expander removed. I relube the case and then ran the case into a full length 25-06 die. My next step is to trimm all the cases to the minum length for the 25-06. I have a number of National Match cases that I have sized down to the 25-06.

I have used tuck2's process successfully. In one or two steps, lube but DO not over lube. You'll wrinkle the shoulder .... which smoothes out when you pull the rigger!
