Attention Michiganians!

There is an assault weapons ban being proposed currently in the state legislature. House Bill 5996 is a bit over the top and is almost certainly a political stunt to gain a track record for when power shifts, rather than legislation expected to be pushed through. Despite this, I implore you to write your representatives to oppose the measure, as well as praise those representatives who do so.

Legislation such as this only serves a political point, as studies have shown that the weapons that are subject to this proposed ban are used in an extremely small portion of crimes.

Here is the bill proposed http://www.legislature.mi.gov/docume...6-HIB-5996.htm

Here is a tool to aid in contacting your representatives https://www.nraila.org/articles/2016...an-legislation

Mods, if this post is too politically one sided, please contact me and I will re-post/ reword it in a politically neutral way.

Thank you all! Remember, the shooting community's strength comes largely from how politically active we are. Keep voting!
