$6.00-$8.00 is expensive?....

A CLP like Weaponshield, Ballistol or Gunzilla runs approx $6.00 to $12.00 USD.
Is that expensive for a gun care product?
For a weapon that costs $300.00 to $1200.00?

Unclenick, that's a great article, clearly a little dated, but seriously invaluable information in there with honestly the best actual testing i've seen, not just the patch check method.

Whilst at this point i'm obviously all for giving the Froglube my entire attention, i just received my bottle of MPro7 gun cleaner, the intention being that i know all about CLP's, but they're not going to cut it on either a neglected or very dirty gun.

From my point of view, at least now, having done the researching and read that very informative article, i feel the best cleaning setup would be something along the lines of;
1) Dedicated carbon cleaner
2) Dedicated copper cleaner
3) quality CLP for maintenance/lubrication, such as Froglube.

Clydefrog, this is true, i think it's a case of people looking at the median prices and seeing a more expensive one and b0rking at it (doesn't stop me looking for the deal though )

I'm now going to check out the Boretech Eliminator and MPro7's copper cleaner.

Pretty simple for me, I brush everything with Hoppes copper solvent and then spray it all out with WM brake cleaner. Buy the stuff by the case. 'course, I mostly shoot pistolas. IMHO most people clean their guns way too much and shoot them way too little

Just got some of the Montana extreme cleaner and oil. The cleaner works awesome, but I'm not very impressed with the oil.
