Surplus Guns?

What are some very cheap guns under $150, Besides the Mosin-Nagant($70)?

You can (very) occasionally find Yugo Mausers for $150-175. Used to be you could find K-31's under $200, but not any more. More than likely any surplus non-Mosin rifle under $200 is going to be in pretty rough condition.

We're a FFL dealer and have been receiving quite a few surplus military firearms for a gentleman who orders them on line and what is being sent is some pretty rag tag weapons. They're starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

There are plenty of Mausers under $200, and a few under $150. Turk Mausers are frequently in that range as are the Brazilian and Chilean mausers.

Sporterized milsurps from a variety of countries are frequently in that range.

The cheaapest milsurps are lebels/berthiers, carcanos, and arisakas because ammo is such an issue.

Still not terribly uncommon to see those Austrian Steyer M95 rifles for under $150, sometimes even around $80-100.

The problem is aside from Mosins and Mausers, any sub-$150 surplus rifle defeats the advantage of its affordability on account of ammo costs.

You can find Yugo 24 47s for under 150$ and Check VZ 24 7 MM also both are good rifles, the Yugos can be had in very nice condition.
I have a Yugo 24 47 and its a very well made rifle.

I think it's a darn shame that various laws prohibit the import of the millions of Cold War era rifles based on the AK platform. Another horrible thing is that even our OWN military surplus rifles cannot be sold to civilians, even if modified to only fire semi-auto.

IMHO it is about time to re-open the machine gun registry or get rid of it all together. (Alot of the NFA laws are a bit silly too.)

The tax money alone generated it would in the tens of millions by my guess.

Political/Fiscal Rant: We are about 4 Trillion-ish dollars in debt. This is from poor lending practices, over spending and an ongoing war. (Nothing you didn't already know.) However, the military (one of/if not THE most important service provided by our government) needs and deserves better funding. A simple way to help generate that money is through the sales of surplus equipment. However, this source of income is not being utilized fully due to certain laws
and choices being made. Essentially, military equipment is pair for by our taxes. Selling the same (now heavily used equipment) back to us is simply a
pure profit-making method of disposal. We already bought it. Let them use it
(while getting paid too). Why not let us pay some extra to "own" what we already paid for once before? Besides, we already bought new stuff to replace it anyway. Just seems silly to me.

I'm just sayin'.

I just checked J&G - and they have some Austrian Steyr model 1895 Stutzen carbines for under $200.

CDNN doesn't show much.
