If you could only have one
I'm sure this has been posted before... but just go with me.
If you could only have one handgun, what would it be? I'm not talking Zombie Apocalypse here.... just... if you could only have 1 handgun for the rest of your life... what would it be. I will post a pole with several popular manufacturers, please chime in.

glock 26. I can conceal it and use it for home defense. I have 10, 12, and 17 rd mags for it. It can also use 30 rd mags. reliable and little maintenance. should withstand torture tests too although I havent tested it personally. if I could conceal it, I would agree with the glock 19 but the grip is too long for me to conceal IWB at 330.

It's gotta be a 1911. Dan Wesson is a good choice for one.

My one gun would be my CZ 75 PCR. It's my EDC and a fun gun at the range. I voted S&W though since CZ isn't on the list and I really like the Shield and the SD9VE. I'd be OK with either of them as well.

When I was making the Poll, I forgot about CZ, Styer and Browning. I cant go back and change it either . That being said, I lumped all of the 1911's into one category, as there are way to many manufacturers to list them all.

Since I like metal frame hammer fired pistols and poly frame hammer fired and striker fired pistols I went with SIG.

Probably a Glock 19 and a selection of spare parts.

Tough but I'd do Sig tactical. Tons of .45acp, raised night sights, threaded barrel, and built like a tank. I could figure out a way to dress around it to conceal it.
Second choice would prob be g26 with flush and 33rd mags. Pretty all-around good choice for functionality. |

Only one handgun for the rest of my life would be my S&W 357 magnum revoler. But since this is the semi auto forum I chose 1911.

Glock if I had the choice, but any of them if they were all that was handy.
If its down to one is all you can have, then its time for using what you got, to get you something better. Or is this a wife thing? |

Beretta....
I just recently made the transition to polymer framed handguns and they edc just fine. But given the choice, you could the xds and lcp.
My Beretta 92a1 will never willingly leave my possession. I was hurt when I recently started working in a no gun situation and had to stop edcing it. Smart carry with a spare 30 round magazine was both comfortable and comforting. With such an easy, soft shooting and accurate platform, I felt ecstatic about my carry choice. Factor in the abundance of easily serviceable maintenance parts, and yeah, I could live with just the 92a1. |

"1911" is not a manufacturer. There must be fifty companies making 1911s today, including several on your list.
