Ashley big dot sights in S&W 342PD ?
I've heard of several who have done this with excellent results. Having never checked the stock orange hi-viz sight on the 342PD up close, I don't know if it's pinned or integral.
Just curious if it can be done by a rank amateur like myself or must this modification be performed by a gunsmith? As for Ashley express, I looked in some directories and cannot find a website address for them. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

They recently changed the web address and name. They are at:
http://www.expresssights.com/ I don't know about whether they will fit the 342. Jim |

Went to the range and noticed that I was shooting to the right. OK, maybe it's one of those days. KY windage and now it's shooting straight on. A little while later to the right! WTH! I thought I needed to push the sight over and looked at it when I noticed that my rear sight was loose and sliding about! Back to factory sights for me.
Blasted away w/out a rear sight and got most my bullets on the target (not bulleyes). Then switched to the FBI "Q" target and went to the 7 yard line where I practiced instinctive shooting. Went fast & furious but who needs a sight at that distance?
