Nosler Partition .223 Rem

Has anyone had experience they would care to recount on tough bullets coming out of centerfire 22's, landing in Whitetail deer???

Didn't know Nosler made a partition bullet in .224", might be interesting to experiment with.

I have shot smallish (southeastern) whitetail deer with the Speer 70 gr semi-spitzer. Rifle was Ruger no.1 in .223, 24" bbl. All shots were less than 100 yrds and all were one shot kills. Bullets passed completely through, but never hit any bone heavier than ribs. I believe this cartridge to be marginal for deer, shot placement is critical for a clean kill. A heavier cal., ie 308, 30-06, 270, etc makes shot placement much less critical. I suspect a .224" partition will perform similarly in .223.
