C&R records question

From what I understand we are supposed to keep a record of the guns we've bought NOT using out FFL. For example, you went to the gun store, bought a gun, and filled out a 4473. Does record have to include all guns you've bought without your FFL, or just the ones you've bought since you got licensed? What if you can't find the receipts for the guns and you can't remember what dates you got them?

You have to list all C&R guns in your bound book, regardless of how you acquired it. For C&R guns bought before your license, just do your best guestimate.

I'm not talking about the C&R bound book. I'm talking about the Personal Firearms record. And no, you don't have to list C&R weapons bought without the C&R in your bound book, just the ones you bought with the C&R.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. You must log all C&R firearms you acquire while licensed. About 12 - 18 months ago, BATF sent a letter to all licensees reemphasizing the point that ALL C&R acquisitions while licensed must be logged.
