A very good day!

My 7 year old son just killed his first buck! A nice 4 point.
I enjoyed this more than any buck I've ever killed and he can't stop grinning.

My dad has said the same thing about me and my brother. Even though i'm 20 he watched me kill a 9 point and said he was shaking watching him through the binoculars haha

Stories like that make me very happy. It was two Christmases ago when my parents were visiting our little ranch when my grandson shot his first deer. It was a nice 9 point, and my Dad (Ben's great grandfather) was here to see that and to help (with verbal encouragement) with the skinning process. My Dad was happy beyond measure. It was one of those golden moments.

I had two things on my bucket list, its OK i am old enough to have one that was for my boys to get their 1st deer in our hunting camp in Minn. where I had hunted for years and shot many a deer. Two years ago my youngest shot a 4 point and this year my oldest shot a 4 point. Its a happiness that you can't put into words.
