NYC rifle registration

Ok here it goes....

I live in new york city. Here we have to register the rifle with a form called PD 641-121.

I ordered the rifle online which is coming from out of state to a NYC fire arms dealer. My question is, on the form, the seller is the dealer out of state which is a store. They dont have a social security number or a permit number. And they certainly cant sign the form since they are out of state.

Does anyone have any experience registering rifles in NYC that they bought out of state from an online store?

I did it a couple times (ordered online, picked up from a NYC dealer). Didn't have to fill up or send any forms - the dealer did it and gave me my completed registration together with the rifle.
