SP101 ejector rod?

I have posted this thread in the revolver section also,not sure where I would recieve the most help.Sorry if this is a no-no.My SP101 ejector rod seems to have excessive play. The "ejector" motion (in&out) seems OK but the "side" travel seems to be excessive. the back&forth motion seems to be able to move the ejector rod about 1/16"-1/8". Is this normal? I would think the ejector rod would be tight a s the rest of the gun? Any help?

I've had two to them and they were both like that. The rod that you push on is not threaded to the ejector plate, it's pinned.
